Many Police forces and other law enforcement organisations provide data to the NMPR. Regardless of how this is provided it is important to understand how the information is used and the information below explains this.
It is implicit that by providing data to the NMPR it is agreed that such information relating to stolen identifiable property will be shared in full with other law enforcement agencies who are authorised to access the data. The existence of the information, but not the information itself, will be used to provide due diligence checking services for, but not limited to, CheckMEND and Patriot. For the avoidance of doubt these services do not provide any information they merely provide a yes or no indication if such information exists. Under no circumstances will the data itself be provided to any third party for any purpose.
